09 Nov 09: Macro photography

Macro photography is photographing objects at extreme close ups with magnification ratios ranging from about 1:1 to about 10:1, which allows us to see details we can't normally see with the human eye. 

Here are some of the results of my first go at playing with a macro lens:






















I would really like to do more of this as I love the way you can really capture the textures, for example the bark and moss.  In particular I like capturing the rain drops as it makes them look jewel like.
